WV Home Birth and Water Birth Services ~ Danette Condon, Midwife
~ Retiring as of April 2020 ~
I believe birth is a sacred and powerful family event. I believe that with good nutrition and knowledge women can have an empowered home birth experience. I birthed my own two sons at home.

I am a direct entry midwife. I apprenticed with three different midwives gaining knowledge through textbooks and hands on experience. I attended a few homebirths in the late 1960's and 1970's. I began my apprenticeship in 1989. I began to attend home births as a primary midwife in 1995.

I started to offer water birth tubs for labor and birth in 2002. They are a wonderful tool for labor and birth.

I am retiring as of April 2020. I plan to work for licensure of Certified Professional Midwives and other Direct Entry Midwives in the coming years.

The midwife you choose will prepare you and your partner for home birth and water birth with lots of books, videos and one on one education. You will understand the importance of good nutrition, excellent health and the safety of your own home for birth and bonding.

I am a member of the Midwives Alliance of West Virginia.
